Picnic mania!

During our first year here, we noticed that the locals luv picnic. The difference is they will gather for a picnic anywhere they seemed fit! On the roundabout(yep, i saw this in Jeddah) near the road side and one popular picnic place is IKEA's car park!

As the parking space is huge, most of the parking space are empty. Usually in the evening, families will gather there, kids on their bicycles, ladies on the mat with their coffee pots and guys will be barbecuing! All these happening at the car park! There's no great view, except the Panda hypermarket on your right an the highway on your left. Then again they look so relaxed and fully enjoying the picnic.

The locals luv to go for a picnic in the parks and beaches too. Kalau last year we all gelak kan the locals for berpiknik di sana sini, this year it seemed that picnic has become one of our fav past time!




Since the start of the cold season, we now have an official picnic mat which is ever ready in the car. We had great time berpicnic wth friends at Salam Park(something like Tmn Tasik Titiwangsa), at a small park near our house (taman dlm kawasan perumahan je) and even berpicnic in the zoo! Latest picnic hot spot during this cold season - the desert!



It is a refreshing outing for the family,apart from enjoying the cool breeze (at least I feel there are some oxygen going thru my brain as most of the time we stay indoor) kids can run around, men play football but no change for the ladies tho, still makan and makan! As usual, following the famous msian style, food must alwiz be more than plenty! Normal menu - BBQ chic wings, lamb, kebab, nasi lemak, bihun goreng, nasi goreng,cakes, snacks,crisps etc etc etc...




Here's to more and more picnic days! One of these days, we will try to have our picnic at IKEA's car park juz for the fun of it!
