This year, I feel that the weather is not that 'freezing' during this cold season in Riyadh. Is this the global warming effect??? :-(
In the mornings, the average tempt is about 10C-15C but rises up to 23C during noon time. At nites it get cooler at about 8C -10C again. It is nice weather tho, to be outside, to feel the sun with the cool breeze blowing on your face. Terasa macam kat London pulak!
Last year, checking back my entries during the cold season, we were wearing sweaters and socks in the house! This year, it is like juz nice temp in the house. No socks required except early in the mornings....
I dunno, maybe we have acclimatised ourselves to the cold weather as tis is our 2nd year here?
However as usual, it is lovely to see colorful flowers being planted along the road, it gives a pleasant brightness to the dessert view. With the cool weather and the flowers, it feels like spring in Deccember!
..and only during cold season you can see the arab men in dark color jubah (thoub) usually in shades of grey or brown. On other days, it is always the white thoub 24/7 for the men, at work, shopping malls or restaurants. As for the ladies, no change-we still wear the black arbaya ;-)
Hopefully, the days will be cooler in January. Saja seronok nak pakai gloves and jacket!
