Reminicsing Rome

Last week, I uploaded an album on Rome in FB and it really brings back fond memories of Italia. So I decided to post something CERIA today after my two serious posts.
I really wish I could write about my travel stories like Ian Wright or Megan from Globe Trekker. (Seriously I suck at writing travel blog) Next time maybe I should write when I am at the cafe sipping cappucino while on my holiday. Baru inspired kot! Anyways here I am tapping on my keyboard thinking hard how and what to write about Rome. All I can think is those Italian men! hahaha...
All I can say is our holiday in Italy was beyond my expectation. The people, the sights, the culture are all so amazing. Surprisingly it is also convenient for us a a muslim family to  travel there. I think I received more stares from strangers being asian in Saudi that in Italy! Then, there's the food off course! I dont really fancy pasta and pizza but in Italy, their pastas and pizza are fabulous! ..and Im talking about plain pastas with tomatoes (spaghetti pomodoro) and those cheap pizza they sell by slices in small cafes. Dining at cozy cafes are affordable too (off course dont convert  the euros la!)Transportation is cheap, you can use the metro and most tourist attractions are within walking distance. However Rome being a huge city does not offer tranquility like Venice or Florence.

 We rented a small yet modern apartment from this sweet couple in Transtevere. Its a charming town away from bustling Rome. We take the tram ( I prefer trams than metro as its not underground) to travel into the city which is like 20mins ride. I guess it will take more than a week to fully explore Rome. For us, with just 4 days in Rome we visited typical tourist attractions like The Colleseo, The Pantheon, Spanish Steps and The Vatican. Off course in between those cozy cafes, gelato galeria (kids haven) and lots and lots of pose for the camera! (hubby is a fanatic when it comes to taking pictures!)
