Neither here nor there

Since the last few weeks, days seemed to pass by in a blur...I'm not sure why, but I guess it has something to do with the fact that we are going back for hols in Malaysia this coming July 30th! *beaming and grinning like mad*

This is our first 'real' holiday in Malaysia since we came to Riyadh in April 2004. We last went back home, March 2008, on the sad occasion of my mom's passing...on that note, I feel a pang of deep sadness as this time, when we go back, my mom is not there...no more balik kampung in butterworth at my old but lovable rustic house.

This time, I will be missing my second brother too in KL as he and his family berhijrah to Brunei April this year. My only sibling in Malaysia is now my sister who is staying in Machang kelantan. (my elder brother is in Dubai)
I'm excited on the prospect that we will be driving to kelantan to visit her and Im flying off to Brunei to visit my bro. Banyak nya nak travel sana sini!

But then on the other hand, when I see how excited my kids are, I am happy too..Ido look forward to meet up with my family and friends and of course on the top things in my list-eat everything! These are things that are making me feel like I'm neither there nor here kinda feeling...Every day, I keep thinking about our plans in Malaysia, about places we want to visit, about the food we must eat, about meeting friends,tengok wayang etc etc etc....

We will be going back for about 5 weeks and this time I actually came up with a planner of things to do with dates and notes. A pat on my back! (I never ever did one but it really does come handy-put things in perspective)

Oh yeah..got to mention that I'm grateful to hubby coz he actually let me stay SOLO in KL for a week. Yabadabedu!!! Hubby and my kids will be in Kuching during that week. Muuaaahhh!! luv him for that!

I have not started packing, too early kan...but on daily basis I will be on the net checking out places to visit as we also plan to go for a short vacation insyallah. I'm also busy checking best flight deals, hotel deals coz there are quite a few domestic travelling for us i.e KL- Kuch-KL, KL-Brunei-KL (I will visit my bro there) and also that dream vacation :-)

Nowadays I think I sleep smiling.....
