Health Certicate - Hands not suitable for Housework

Luxury rubber gloves Pictures, Images and Photos

Yesterday I went to see a dermatologist as the eczema on the palm of my right hand is getting worse. It has been an off and on thingy for me especially since I became a full time domestic goddess.

When the doctor saw it, he smiles and said to me and hubby, "well...you know what is the best medicine for it, no?" I grinned and sambil menjeling my hubby, I said "no housework?" sheepishly. Best thing is the doctor add...."or maybe your hubby needs to get you a maid". I could have hug the doctor!

Off course the real medicine is out of the question (hu...hu...) so instead I got a cream and he advised me to wear gloves while doing all the house chores. Two gloves mind you coz latex is also not suitable! First wear a cotton glove and then the rubber glove.

Hmmm, I dun think Im going thru all that trouble to wash few glasses and plates, last last pakai my bare hands lah jugak. After all I dah ada ubat, when the eczema becomes bad, just put on the cream. Prevention is better than cure policy does not work for me :-(

walking back to our car last nite, I said to my hubby, "tangan I ni belongs to tangan orang kaya eh?" He pretends not to hear it! heh heh......

p/s oh...myy eczema is also easily triggered when I clean fish, prawns and other seafood stuff :(

Remembering Mak on Mother's Day

This morning I received mother's day wishes from my one and only sister in Kelantan. Suddenly tears welled up in my eyes when I thought about my loving mom. It has been a year and 2 months since she passed away. All those wishes in facebook, on tv about mother's day makes me miss her so much. In fact rasa jealous pun ada bila tengok orang peluk their mother...

Although we are not the type of family who celebrate mother's day religiously or expressive in our feelings, on occasions we do bring her out for dinner. Now I wish I celebrated mother's day every year with her. I feel so terkilan that now I don't have the chance to really show her how much I love and appreciate her. I feel so terkilan that there are so many things that I wanted to share with her, to buy her things and to take her for umrah and vacation and all that just remains plans....

The thing is when we were younger, I guess it doesn't really occur to you how much your mom means to you....but as years go by, we became mom ourselves and we reflect back to our days with our moms and the appreciation and love grows and grows coz now we know how much they sacrificed for us, how much they put up with us...that is why I feel so sad today coz now when I'm no longer shy to say directly I love you mom, she can't hear me...

I'm lost for words to show my gratitude for what she has done to us, for always being there, for loving us unconditionally... I do hope even though I could not show her my appreciation in this world, Allah will hear my prayers for my mother.

“Wahai Tuhanku! Cucurilah rahmat kepada kedua ibu bapa ku sebagaimana mereka telah mencurahkan kasih sayangnya memelihara dan mendidikku semasa kecil.” [al-Isra’ 17:24]

In loving memory of my mother, Salmah bt Yahaya. At my home in Bagan Jermal, Butterworth. Taken a week before I moved to Riyadh, march 2007. That was the last time I hug her in person.
Mak,I miss you so much...

My boy is six

April 23rd was Haekal's bday. He turned 6 this year but I had to confess in my heart, he is still the adorable 'baby' of ours. Oh well, being the youngest, I guess he will have that privilege forever ;-)

Thanks to our family fren, aunty zura, she did those cute little cupcakes for haekal and we had a small makan makan at her house that day with friends.

We bought Kabsa from nadec and makan ramai ramai on the saprah. Berselera betul makan macam tu! Off course there are also pizza, donuts etc etc.....

For his 6th birthday, Haekal asked for bakugan set - his and syafiq's favourite game at present.(trust the Japanese to come up with the latest craze!)

His favourite game apart from naruto and bakugan is football. Hence he is hubby's best buddy. Im amazed that he knows the football players from different clubs and he can also name the teams/clubs despite not being able to fully read yet! His favourite team is Brazil and hubby is coaxing him to become Liverpool fan tho to haekal only Brazil is the best! Hmm....another kaki bola in the house!

May Allah grants Haekal iman and takwa, good health and a beautiful life. Amin.
